Who is Bruce?

As a developer and property owner of 130+ units, Bruce serves the Sacramento, CA area with the mission to provide safe, decent housing in an atmosphere that promotes personal growth and family stability.

It’s hard to say exactly when Bruce’s career in real estate began as he was born into a family of real estate prodigies. His father, Jack Mintzer, built about a thousand homes, and several hotels and commercial properties following Jack’s father, I.L. Mintzer’s, legacy, which includes being a founding member of the Miami Group which developed and built the first luxury hotel in the newly born State of Israel.

After receiving his formal education from UCLA and NYU, Bruce went straight into the family business of building and selling houses, and by the time he was 27 he had built over 200 houses. Bruce learned to be creative in the design and construction of houses, and he once built a house in 42 calendar days, or 6 weeks from start to finish.

He didn’t stop at houses and went on to develop a 24-unit mid-rise condominium complex overlooking the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, a breathtaking project which included a three-story waterfall in the courtyard. By 1984, Bruce was growing weary of the fast life in LA and made the move to the then lesser developed city of Sacramento, where he resides today.

His first project in Sacramento was the restoration of a historic building over 100 years old near the Capitol. This project was the catalyst that lead him to his long time career and current passion of re-developing distressed multifamily units and renting them out.

Bruce now owns over 130 units in the greater Sacramento area, and has housed over 1,000 homeless persons, many of which were homeless veterans. As a first hand witness to the power the housing first approach to homelessness, Bruce has become a huge advocate of this philosophy and continues to seek out opportunities to expand affordable housing options, serving as many people as he can.
